IBADCC exists to provide certification for substance abuse counselors and prevention specialists in the State of Idaho

 

IBADCC is a member board of the International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC).  The IC&RC strives to set global standards for addiction professionals. IC&RC's mission is to protect the public by establishing standards and facilitating reciprocity for the credentialing of addiction-related professionals.

 

Through IBADCC certification and renewals, addiction professionals ensure they are maintaining continuing education requirements and ethical standards of care for their clients.

 

Whether you are an applicant seeking certification through the IBADCC, an agency seeking certified treatment professionals, or a provider of continuing education opportunities, we hope this website will be a valuable tool for you.

 

IBADCC is excited to introduce Computer Base Testing!

Effective October 3, 2011, IBADCC eliminated ALL pencil and paper certification testing and implemented computer based testing or CBT.

The Benefits of CBT are:

  • Flexibility to test “on demand”
    • No longer limited to only two (2) tests cycles per year
  • Immediate scoring at the completion of your exam
    • No longer will have to wait for your score

  • January 1, 2012 - New Lapsed Certificate Policy goes into effect.

"Certifications at any level that have been expired more than six (6) months MUST go through the process of reapplying and retesting."
