JOB OPPORTUNITY: CADC Counselor

Full-time in Boise, Idaho

Closing date: November 20, 2022

The Counselor will be responsible for providing counseling and case management services to clients and patients at ESOC, llc. This position provides clinical assessment and direct care services for defined patient/client population. Services are provided to patients, families and/or groups in an outpatient treatment setting. This position provides treatment in one or more of the following areas: substance abuse, emotional and behavioral issues, and other mental disorders as outlined in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM).


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING

  • Provide assessment and direct care to individuals, families, and groups. Coordinate all aspects of patient care from admission to discharge, interacting with the multidisciplinary treatment team to provide quality patient care

  • Provide education and orientation for clients/patients, families, and others to assigned treatment program to aid in therapeutic process. Collaborate with the patient in the development of a written treatment plan. Include patient and family involvement in assessment, treatment, education, and discharge planning

  • Monitor patients on an ongoing basis to continually assess needs and facilitate treatment and interventions

  • Document clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment plan, diagnostic summaries, and progress charting in a timely manner to assure comprehensive and quality patient care

  • Case staffing and individual case supervision

  • Facilitate individual and group therapy

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures

  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies and procedures and standards of care


QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION

  • Bachelor’s Degree of Social Sciences preferred

  • Maintain national and applicable state licensure requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in relevant field preferred

  • Ability to work with a diverse population along with interpersonal skills and knowledgerequired in treating patients in area of assigned specialty

  • An understanding of and adherence to the ethical standards of the respective license adopted by the governing board for licensure

  • Adherence to Compliance Program Plan

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Client service oriented (both internal and external)

  • Able to handle confidential material in a reliable manner

  • Ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of organization

  • Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations and confidential information

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Edge and Word.


REQUIRED CERTIFICATES/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS

  • Must hold an active CADC license and be in good standing with IBADCC

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
